Description: Vintage Sports Car Racing Sticker - ARCF - Automobile Racing Club of Florida The Automobile Racing Club of Florida (ARCF) was created by Alec Ulmann in 1956. It was needed to provide the sanctioning of the 12 Hours of Sebring. The American Automobile Association (AAA) Contest Board pulled out of sanctioning auto races due to the 1955 LeMans tragedy, where 84 people died in a horrific crash. With no national club recognized by the FIA, Ulmann knew he had to do something. Because SCCA’s policy on strictly amateurism and non-involvement with the FIA, he knew there wouldn’t be any help from them. Ulmann was able to work a special deal with Augustin Perouse, the President of the Commission Sportive of the FIA, to create the ARCF as the sanctioning body for the Sebring race beginning in 1956. measures 3" w x 3.75" t die cut hi-performance premium vinyl sticker perfect for your car, truck, boat, bike, toolbox, cooler or anywhere! new please examine all photos and ask questions before purchasing as all sales are final
