I've seen similarly shaped whistles listed as military "trench whistles" - but I confess that this is out of y area knowledge. (I'm counting on the buyer to know what they are bidding on.) It still whistles loudly. It measures 2 & 3/4 inches long - NOT counting the loop on the end. I would call the condition GOOD. The part that you blow into is slightly bent and there is wear to the surface finish. It still displays nicely and is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
