Description: Beautiful looking general electric toaster, one of the best looking ones out there I think, that's my own opinion. This one does function somewhat incorrectly, however, when bread is loaded in the button pushed down it does not stay down. If I continue to hold the lever down it will heat up so heating elements are working, it's something mechanical inside not latching to let the toaster do its thing on its own. Bakelite base has hidden damage under the far end opposite the cord entry side. Bakelite base around the toaster is nice and shiny and all four legs are intact. Original cloth covered cord is in VGC but is in early stages of getting "a stiffy" due to age, unlike me. A good indoor winter project,!
