Description FABULOUS 1950-60’S COWICHAN MARY MAXIM 100% WOOL CHUNKY HAND KNIT BUFFALO DESIGN SWEATERWITH FRONT ZIPPERSIZE LARGE-X-LARGE This truly a great Mary Maxim handknit 1950-60’s 100% wool buffalo design sweater/jacket. The front center of the light brown wool collared sweater has two (2) facing buffalo in colors of dark brown and off white. The yoke, pockets and lower and upper arm areas have two off white stripes with just the face of the buffalo. The front has a silver double zipper. The design off white stripes and buffalo fact on the arms and upper and lower portion of the sweater extend to the back. Within the center of the back is a larger version of the buffalo. There are ribbed striped pockets on the front, again with the buffalo profile. There is a worn label still attached to the neck area that reads: Genuine Hand Knit, Mary Maxim Sweaters. There may be some imperfections of the sweater. Although this is a great vintage wearable piece of clothing. This sweater stands out when worn.
