Description: Beautiful 1940s or 1950s Schiaparelli velvet opera coat. I believe the velvet is silk and the lining is either rayon or acetate. It has lovely gathers at the upper back home and an interesting collar design. The sleeves are 3/4 length and measure 18" from the shoulder seam to the cuff. It is approximately 18" across the chest and 42" long measured from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of the hem.
