Handbuch Des Sports (Manual of the Sport) is a lovely picture album from a Berlin youth book publishing house in 1932, sponsored by Sanella Margarine. It has 119 pages and 112 color pictures including five stand alone cards. The book includes explanations of different sports terms including boxing, cricket, baseball, football, track, tennis, rowing and more. Among the color pictures is one of Babe Ruth watching a ball he has just hit. Also included are Sharkey and Schmeling. The book is self-described in a translated version as "The available manual is to give information on the entire area of the sport in scarce form, whereby those branches of sport were preferred, which are particularly exercised by young people". Cover and back show wear but are intact with solid binding. The pages are lovely and the Ruth picture is especially nice. Includes label from previous owner.
