Description: Thanks for viewing my listing! I have been a net collector of vintage watches over the years and now I've reached to point where I would like others to enjoy my watches/accessories or finish off projects I don't have time for. Description: Very Rare Vintage White Gold Plated Citizen Jet Auto Dater ADOO 51309-Y 21J Automatic Ring Rotor in Early X-Case Watch Condition: Pre-owned in Very Good Condition Dimensions: Approx. 38mm diameter excluding crown, 45mm lug-lug, 9.5mm thick; accommodates 18mm strap/bracelet Accessories: 18mm light brown NATO strap; No box/paper/tags Notes: You are bidding on a Very Rare Vintage White Gold Plated Citizen Jet Auto Dater ADOO 51309-Y 21J Automatic Ring Rotor X-Case Watch. Should date to May 1965 based on the caseback serial. This watch features a early-mid generation Citizen Jet 21 Jewel Cal. 1120/1 movement that beats at 18,8000 bph with manual wind and manual date. A very unique movement as it features a circular ring rotor. It is hard to appreciate this movement since this watch is fitting in a rare early version of the X-case made famouse by the 39 Jewel Super Jet series. What's interesting about this front loaded X-case is that it does not have the circle X marking and is plated in rare white gold; not sure if this was a prototype for the final version of the X-case since I've actually not see another ADOO 51309-Y model sold. Crystal was upgrade by my watchmaker over a year back so it's free of any deep scratches. The starburst silver dial with funky hour markes is in very good shape with no significant staining. Of note, the dial is not marked with the "Jet" designation but it does belong to this family of watches. There's some wear on the white gold plated case, but it's still in good shape with a warm silver color. Stainless unsigned crown in very good shape; a bit stiff to pull but all functions work; there is no quickset date. Since this is a front-loader, I don't have a movement shot but the watch does keep decent time on the wrist; it tends to drift slow on the winder; service recommended for daily use. Installed is a 18mm light brown NATO strap that nicely compliments the watch and provides a sporty look. Watch was rated to 40m "Parawater" but has not been pressure tested. This is worthy watch for your collection as we have a rare early Citizen Jet movement in an even rarer white gold possible prototype X-case; don't miss out! Given that this is a pre-owned watch, service history is unknown, water resistance is not guaranteed and warranty unavailable. Sold AS IS. NO RETURNS. Shipping: Priority ConUS shipping is free. International shipping will be priced per eBay International Standard Delivery (I will send the item to the US eBay depot and they handle the remaining transport). If you are restricted from bidding it will be only due to feedback or geographic restrictions. Buyer will be responsible for all potential customs fees. Questions welcome.
