Description: I was looking at the geometry of the Sgian-dubh blade and thought that the Scots have been fighting each other for centuries. It makes sense that they would come up with the perfect geometry for a short edc/fighter. Why not make a combat version. I widened the guard and left off the gimping on the spine and made what I think is a fine short combat knife. I hope you will agree. These knives are made for hard use. I make the blades the handles and the sheaths myself. They are not stainless. They are carbon steel and thus, will stain and need to be oiled and maintained. However, they will hold an edge better than most types of stainless steel. I make the blades one or two at a time, hand-grind and carefully temper them. This knife, like all my knives, comes with a cowhide sheath that is stitched by hand with a true saddle stitch. These are old-school, tough-as-nails knives. No frills, no nonsense.
