Description: This unique Tobacco Warehouse Basket Floor Dolly is a rare find for collectors of antique farming equipment. Made of sturdy wood and featuring a steel wheel, this floor dolly is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of history to their collection. Created in Danville, Virginia between 1900-1949, this original piece is a must-have for any serious collector. The medium size of this floor dolly, measuring up to 30 inches, makes it easy to maneuver and display in any space. Its distinctive design and quality material make it a valuable addition to any collection of primitives and antiques. We ended up on a bucket list pick as a portion of a Danville Virginia tobacco warehouse begins a new life storing less interesting things. Before you ask (it was my first question too) the tobacco baskets are long gone, but the floor dollies they rested in to help support auction lots of tobacco leaves are plentiful. They are big, 30inx30inx6in, and made of rough sawn lumber with paint distressed from a century of the work required. All have steel wheels that roll well and look like you want old wheels to look. We have a ton. You are buying a cart that was still in use up until this past year. It is common for them to have wood splits and possibly a chip in the wheel, but they are still able to hold weight and roll on a hard surface. Please inspect the pictures carefully and let us know if you have questions, we want you to be happy with your purchase. 30x30x7 and just under 40lbs.
