The Velvet Underground & Nico LP Verve V-5008, 1967 Liner notes: Side 1 558 Rev Side 2 559 COVER CONDITION: Banana sticker has been peeled with some trace paper and stickum left on banana. Can be removed if desired, I chose to leave it there. Does have a light pen written ".75C" on front left upper 1/2 covering about 1" only, most of the pen mark has worn off and doesn't overwhelm the cover at all. Top and Bottom opening side seams are split about 3" and 5" (SEE PICTURES) When not holding the splits open by hand they a very well camouflaged and not too noticeable. The seams where the vinyl touches on top and bottom are still tight and not split. There is also a small piece of the front slick that was pulled of when removing the banana sticker only about 1/4" x 1/2" long. Spine is nice and all intact. There is a little age yellowing around the edges but not very noticeable and colors are still bright. does have some overall wear but not really much more to mention. Overall very nice cover. Torso airbrushed VINYL CONDITION:Blue/Silver Verve Deep 1st press labels are in outstanding condition!!!! Might have a trace of some super light spindle impressions but these are the old bright blue Verve labels that are dull and I can't see any clearly, this lp has been handled carefully through the years. Comes with original inside white paper sleeve. Plays all the way through wonderfully with no background noise sounds sharp and clear, very nice listening experience on both sides with only one area of concern worth mentioning... the 1st track on side 2 has a medium scuff about 1/3" long and produces a lite noise on a few revolutions... Not real loud and obnoxious but still there to hear if you are listening for it. Otherwise this vinyl plays EXCELLENT!!!!!!! This lp has not been overplayed or mishandled and looks clean VG+. EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector. EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear. VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise, still plays great. Good - In the record world, "Good" is not good! From here on down, we're talking about beat-up records!
