These Peter Rabbit editions by Platt and Munk, along with other children's books were reprints of Henry Altemus "Wee Books Bedtime Story Books" series published in the 1920s. Bess Goe Willis (1871-1957) was born in Pittsburgh, PA and studied art in New York. She illustrated a number of Altemus books including the Colorful Story Books, Little Sally Mandy Series, Wee Books for Wee Folks, and Wee Folks Peter Rabbit Series.
