Description: The Brainiac In 1661, a defiant Mexican sorcerer, Baron Vitelius (Abel Salazar) is sentenced by the Spanish Inquisition to be burned at the stake. Vitelius vows that he will come back to wreak revenge on the descendants of his executioners. Three centuries pass and in 1961 the Baron emerges from a fallen comet to fulfill his deadly prophecy, reincarnated as a hideous, forked tongue, brain devouring monster. In the guise of a handsome, wealthy, dashing socialite, he hosts a formal party for the doomed descendants of his tormentors. One by one they meet their gruesome lobotomized fate until the beautiful Victoria remains the sole survivor. Will she escape the wrath of the Brainiac or will she become another tasty hors d'oeuvre placed in an urn from which he takes his cerebral snacks? This entertaining schlockfest was originally released as El Baron del Terror. Abel Salazar, who also produced the film, maintains a sullen, creepily detached presence. Not for the squeamish, The Brainiac is a must see spectacle for any self respecting horror buff.
