This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition!The wear, however, is considerable and should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and other than some lengthy previous owner writing on the first blank/yellow page, has no internal writing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with a noticeable lean/slant, creases/marks/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, wear to the edge/fore pages and marks/creases/toning/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text!Please note the wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, and the wear that is present on the pages, particularly noticeable on certain pages.In our opinion, the most unfortunate wear affects the front pastedown/inside front board and the first blank/yellow page.There are large marks on the pastedown and on the first blank/yellow page.There is also what appears to be an old newspaper clipping regarding the weather attached to the first blank/yellow page.It is also on this page that the internal writing is located!The previous owner writing, which is written in pen, is quite lengthy and occupies a good portion of the page.This entire page and the pastedown have been closely photographed for your consideration.All of the wear previously mentioned is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, rips and marks.Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges!The wear, particularly near/along the edges, is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered.
