Description: Hello, Here is a very early postcard showing the Soo Locks as well as boats & ships. Lake Superior is 21-feet higher than the St. Marys River...which leads to Lake Huron and the other Great lakes...so the Soo Locks lower and raise the ships. The card is 3.5" by 5.5" and is postmarked 1909. NOTE; This will be mailed using the newer 'Ebay Standard Envelope' method.
