Description: Old Smith Corona mechanical writing machine / typewriter. Has some little scuffs, imperfections, etc., but clean machine. Cleaned it up a bit, and installed new ribbon on a set of metal spools. Couple of the type bars fall a little slow, but should speed up with use. Tested as best I know and all the functions seem to be working fine, and you should be able to start typing with it right away. Rubber is not bad for the vintage. Smells like a typewriter, but I wouldn't consider it overwhelming. No paperwork or key. Case is pretty clean as well. I am enthusiastic about typewriters, but by no means an expert or professional repair person. Pictures of the typeface can be seen in the gallery as well as a tight shot of the serial number. All pictures were taken outside in natural light and are a big part of the description. Please review them carefully, use the zoom, and make sure this machine will work for you.
