Schilke B5 & Double Case • Silver Custom B Flat Trumpet • Excellent/Near Mint

Description: This horn is a beautiful looking and playing instrument with no known dings or scratches! It is a ML bore custom professional trumpet featuring a reverse lead pipe and silver plated copper bell. (More info is available regarding the B5 model on Schilke's website.) It was just given a professional hypersonic cleaning and was pressure tested for air leaks etc. One light crease in the bell was professionally removed, and there is now no visible indication of where it was. Some slight visible imperfections are noted in the pictures and are nearly imperceptible - though they can be seen upon close inspection.* Serial Number 21644. This horn was manufactured in Chicago in 1973 (according to the friendly folks at Schilke) making it over 50 years old! I am only aware of three total owners, none of which used the horn much at all, from what I was told. (This seems evident based on the condition of the horn!) Included is a Schilke double trumpet case. This case came from a new horn purchased in 2020. It was pretty scuffed up when I received it, but I cleaned off the scuffs and polished up the exterior. It is in excellent working condition and still looks very nice inside and out, though there are some minor visible scuffs, signs of wear, etc. A brand new Schilke B5 currently sells for $3,775 (and higher) on most sites. This horn is probably as close to new as a horn that is over 50 years old could be and could arguably be considered more valuable considering its age/craftsmanship. (In 1973, the founder of Schilke, Renold O Schilke still would have been alive and running the company!) In modern terms, it is a "survivor" horn! *The pictured slight imperfections on the 1st valve casing are also on the 3rd valve casing, though there is no picture. The imperfections are even lighter there and are very difficult to capture on camera. I have thoroughly inspected the horn and tried to be transparent regarding its condition. However, there could be other slight imperfections or blemishes that I did not see. Please understand that the buyer assumes responsibility for that possibility. Returns will not be accepted based on slight imperfections. The pictures do well represent the overall condition of the horn, which is accurately described as excellent/near mint!
