Known for his exceptional defensive skills and offensive prowess, Alomar established himself as one of the greatest second basemen in the history of the game. Alomar began his MLB journey in 1988 when he made his debut with the San Diego Padres. He spent three seasons with the Padres, showcasing his exceptional range and agility on the field. During his time with the team, Alomar earned his first All-Star selection in 1990. In 1991, Alomar was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, where he truly blossomed. He played a vital role in the Blue Jays' back-to-back World Series championships in 1992 and 1993. Alomar's remarkable defensive skills, combined with his ability to hit for average and power, made him an invaluable asset to the team.
