RARE Watkins Johnson CEI 975-2 775-3 Communications Ham Shortwave Receivers

Description: Up for your consideration is a pair of CEI Communications Electronics Inc (Watkins Johnson) model 975-2 and 775-3 surveillance receivers . This sale is for both receivers and the case. These were acquired from a local amateur radio operator who is moving into a HOA thus downsizing his collection. He assured me that both receivers work. Well here is what I can tell you for sure. The 975-2 powers on and I hear static and was able to tune in what sounded like digital broadcasts. I was only using a short piece of wire for an antenna. On the 775-3 I was able to hear public service as well as amateur radio UHF repeaters Things I know are wrong. The signal meter does not seem to be working on the 775-3 . A dial light is out on the 975. I do not have manuals for these sets so I am unable to test every function. Therefore these are offered 100% as is with all faults known and unknown. These are older electronic devices so I am sure they would benefit from service, alignment and or repair. There will be no refunds or returns for any reason whatsoever.
