RARE Original CALIFORNIA US Route 66 Shield Marker Steel Sign Street Road Highwy

Description: Rare CALIFORNIA ROUTE 66 PRESSED STEEL RELIEF MARKER SIGN. It is in good vintage condition with light wear from age/display. This original Route 66 sign is shaped like a shield and measures about 16” - 16-1/2”. It weighs over 3-1/2 lbs. It has the two original mounting holes at top and bottom (for mounting on a pole). There are no holes at the sides. This sign has been in my personal collection. It was purchased years ago and came out of a huge vintage sign collection that had been in storage. It was NOS still in the original crate paper and never mounted. I am only getting rid of it because a friend gave me a 66 sign from my local area. They are both 100% legit/authentic. They both look exactly the same, have the same measurements & same weight. This sign is still very clean and only has a few small scuffs/scratches, etc. We call this character! SOLD AS IS.
