Description: Rare 50 pence piece- 1997: less than 500 thousand made.Coin is in good condition with some small marks and some tarnishing.Could be cleaned, but i'll leave that up to you. Rare smaller size 50p coin with portrait of Queen and Britannia on reverse.This is the first smaller 50p and also the only one with the Raphael Maklouf portrait of the Queen, as this was changed in 1998.The reverse design, by Christopher Ironside, shows Britannia seated.
