Description: RAIN, 2002 Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Movie, Burger King Toy Promo Figure Rain is an American Paint Horse, and is the female mate of the main character of the movie, Spirit. She belonged to Native American Little Creek at first, but was released by him to live free with Spirit at the end of the film (the eagle feather in her mane was removed by Little Creek as a sign of letting her go). Rain was actually such an important character in this movie, that the actual American Paint Horse Association (APHA) officially recognized her importance. Rain became the first animated mare to be registered at the APHA, and given an honorary certificate - because she exemplified the breed standards people have come to recognize in a Paint Horse. There were 2 copies of the certificate made: One is displayed at the Dream Works Studio in California, and the other is kept at the APHA Heritage Center in Fort Worth, TX. This Rain representation was distributed by Burger King in conjunction with the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron movie in the year 2002.
