For Your Antique Brass Collection Details Description: A vintage solid brass desktop or tabletop ashtray in the form of a tobacco leaf. The piece shows a tobacco leaf curved upwards to form the ashtray. The edge of the leaf has some curves to allow for resting the cigarette. It is cast with very nice details of the petiole, the blade, the midrib, and the yein. The ashtray has three small feet on the back which allows it to sit level on a flat surface. The casting is just beautiful and the piece is rather heavy for its size weighing 13 ounces. Again, the ashtray is made of solid brass and weighs 13 ounces of solid brass. Just a very beautiful decorative piece. This piece was part of a collection of antique solid brass items we recently purchased in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Please see photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1960s-1970s. Origin: Tobaccoville, NC, USA. Size: It is ~ 8 3/4" long, about 3" at its widest, and sits about 5/8" above table level at its highest point. The piece weighs 13 ounces of solid brass. Maker: Unknown.
