Hiroshi Nagai is famous for his striking illustrations of summer sunshine, palm trees, and poolsides, which we have all seen at least once. Did you know that he also draws many night scenes, such as airplanes flying over neon-lit cityscapes, poolside at dusk, and fireworks rising in the night sky? He depicts many of these scenes beautifully with the magic hour of twilight, which is said to be experienced only for a few dozen minutes before sunset. In recent years, Hiroshi Nagais illustrations have become a part of a movement called "Vaporwave," in which people feel the atmosphere of the 80s and 90s while migrating through the sea of the Internet. In this project, a total of 20 to 25 representative illustrations focusing on night scenes are presented in a unique format, laid out to fit the size of an analog 7-inch record. About the Author Hiroshi Nagai Born in Tokushima City on December 22, 1947. After working as a graphic designer, he has been active as an illustrator since 1976. His record jackets and advertising visuals for Eiichi Otakis "A LONGVACATION" and "NIAGARA SONG BOOK" are still talked about today, and he continues to create universal works that are widely loved. He is also active as a DJ and music critic.
