Description: Matt Mitros is a studio artist working in ceramics; in addition to experimental functional items like this cup, he produces wildly colorful and exotic mixed media pieces. This is a salt or soda glazed piece resulting in subtle peachy pink color gradients over the ivory clay body. It measures 3.25 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.Mitros was an Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts as well as the Archie Bray Foundation. MFA from the University of Washington. He is an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University and has also instructed at several other schools including University of Alabama and the University of Washington, South Seattle Community College, Lakeside Upper School, Kennesaw State University.
