Description: Offered for sale is this vintage 1930's/1940's or 1950's lot of 3 C&O-Chesapeake & Ohio Steam locomotive/train photos w/ history, including engine numbers 1377, 1124 with class of locomotive noted below image, some additional important info on back side of some photos, all photos taken or collected by a young George Niles Jr, who in 1941 when most of these were taken would have been around 17 or 18, he was a friend until he passed away at age 93 a few years ago, George worked for the N&W and the Des Moines Union railroad all his life and took several thousand images of trains from all over the country in both photos and slides, I have had the privilege of buying the Niles collection a few years ago and offering them here on eBay for sale to other trail loversI am dating these vintage images from the Kodak Velox paper it is printed on. Shipped in a clear protective envelope between cardboard stock for added protection, inside a large format envelope.
