This allows the Lynx to detect prey from long distances in complete darkness. Liemkes Luchs-2 is the technological embodiment of the Lynx, and allows users to experience darkness through the eyes of a nocturnal hunter. The Luchs-2 pairs perfectly with the majority of universal and driven hunt scopes via adapter (sold separately), but also works as a handheld thermal monocular. It comes equipped with a powerful 12 m 640x512 VOx uncooled microbolometer and a 50mm/F1.0 objective lens. The powerful sensor combined with the large objective lens allows the Luchs-2 to detect heat signatures from up to 2500 meters (2734 yards) away. Heat signatures are viewable in five color modes White Hot, Black Hot, Extra Dark, Red Hot, and Rainbow as well as two Sun and Rain image modes to ensure optimum image rendition in different weather conditions. When attached to a riflescope, the Luchs-2 offers a generous field of view that completely fills the scopes view even at low magnification. This makes the Luchs-2 ideal for use in dense forests and wide open fields alike. In addition to its impressive thermal imaging capabilities, the Luchs-2 also offers intuitive operation. A three-position switch is easy to use even in the dark or when wearing gloves, and individually configurable modes provides a custom control set. Other features of the Luchs-2 include multimedia connectivity.
