Description: La Galerie des Glaces (Hall of Mirrors) by Henry Bernstein Signed and Inscribed ................ ****Henri-Léon-Gustave-Charles Bernstein (20 June 1876 – 27 November 1953) was a French playwright associated with Boulevard theatre. Bernstein was born in Paris. His earliest plays, including La Rafale (1905), Le Voleur (1907), Samson (1908), Israël (1908), and Le Secret (1913), are written in a realistic style and powerfully depict harsh realities of modern life and society. (For More Information - See Wikipedia) *****This beautiful 1/2 leather bound book (1926) is inscribed and signed by the author in nice condition. The book came originally in soft cover form and apparently the previous owner had it rebound leaving the front and back covers intact. The initials G. B. is on the spine of the book which presumably he had it placed when it was rebounded. There are occasional spots of foxing especially in the front few pages and the last few pages. Ghosting from the inscription. There is soiling on edges on edges. There is toning throughout. Very small amount of rubbing on leather. The book is very tight and there are no remainder marks, not ex-library. Any issues have been reflected in the pricing. Does not include bookends. Please see pictures for more information and detail. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I will be glad to take additional pictures. I tried to describe the book through words and pictures the best I can but if you are not 100% satisfied with the purchase, please know you can return the book for full refund. Ships carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and packed securely in a box. Will ship within 1 business day of receiving payment. Thank you for looking!
