Description: JACK BENNY & MARY LIVINGSTONE Autograph Set / Signed Photos / Benny ALS / + Christmas Telegram & More!. Outstanding Collection of Cast Member Items and Autographs from legendary comedian Jack Benny's radio program! For your consideration....A fantastic lot of vintage material from the cast of the popular Jack Benny Jello radio program c. 1939. This collection emanated from the family of a young boy named Jimmy Ruffin, to whom they had all been sent. Little Jimmie had been ill for a number of years, and he and his mother engaged in an extensive letter writing campaign to various stars and radio programs. Jack Benny and his cast were extremely generous with their outpouring of photos, autographs and other ephemera. Nine items in all, including a surprise Western Union telegram from Jack Benny for that Christmas. The collection includes: * Jack Benny 8" x 10" signed and inscribed studio photograph - "To Jimmy, with all good wishes of" (fountain pen ink) * Mary Livingstone 8" x 10"signed and inscribed studio photograph - “To Jimmy, Kindest Regards” (fountain pen ink) * Jack Benny signed letter on his letterhead to Mrs. Ruffin, dated October 11, 1940 (fountain pen ink) * 1940 Telegram to "Jimmie Ruffin & Family" reading “Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Jack Benny” (Norman Rockwell illustration). * Four 5" x 7"cast member promotional photos with signatures – Dennis Day (fountain pen ink), Don Wilson (fountain pen ink), Eddie "Rochester" Anderson (facsimile) & Phil Harris (facsimile) * 1937 Jack and Mary's Jell-O Recipe Book (24 pages). These pieces have evidence of former album mounting on the versos (Spots of excess paper at all four corners, with the exception of the Wilson and Harris). Each has at least some wear or light creasing due to age (the Wilson with the most pronounced...due to corner crease at bottom right corner).....see provided scans.VG- Condition overall given the 80+ years of age of the material.
