Crucible is made of HIGH GRADE fine grain graphite to provide optimum performance and durability. Graphite provides maximum resistance to oxidation while metal is being melted. To avoid contamination use separate crucible for each metal. The crucible has a pouring spout to pour the molten metal of the crucible without removing the crucible from the melter. The bottom of the crucible has round opening to allow the internal thermocouple of the melting furnace to measure the temperature accurately. Note: We highly recommend coating the internal walls of the crucible with Boric Acid to reduce flaking. Prior to use and melting Pre-Heat the crucible slowly.
