Description: This is a unique and beautiful handmade mirror, very reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts movement. The color and simplistic lines allow it to work with many styles of decor. The mirror itself is 12 inches square, framed with a handmade solid wood (a light colored oak, I believe) frame. The frame has been inlaid with strips of beautiful blue stained glass in shades of aqua, sky blue, and azure. The stained glass strips are 1/2 inch wide and the framed piece measures 14 3/4 inches x 14 3/4 inches - a perfect square, designed and made with expert craftsmanship. The exact age of the piece is unknown, but I would estimate 1970's based on the style of the mirror and frame design. The hanging bracket and wire are positioned in a corner, so it is designed to be hung in a "diamond" orientation. However, this could easily be moved and the piece could be leaned on a wall or shelf or hung in a standard square configuration. If you need a mirror for a small space, this is a great one-of-a-kind piece. It has been very well cared for and is in really great vintage condition. There are no cracks or chips in inlaid stained glass or mirror. The wood frame is in very good condition as well - no splintering or gouges; very minor age-related scuffs. The back of mirror is in good condition. The corners of this piece are tight with no separation. The hanging brackets and wire are intact and sturdy.
