Fontana road frame frameset 56 vintage rare Gilco tubing Cinelli lugs

Description: This is a lovely and super rare Luigi Fontana frameset made in Italy in the late 80's early 90's using Columbus Gilco tubing and designed to be ultra stiff and responsive due to the tubing shape and the ultra short chainstay with the beautifuly curved seat tube to make it 38.8 cm only. I believe that this frame was designed for Time Trial.It was originally came with one bottle cage holes only on downtube,but i have added the holes on seat tube to allow extra bottle. I have used it for almost 3 years as a second bike for long distance training on all kind of terrains and the frame behaved extremely well on flat,but on the hills and steep mountain i realy enjoyed the responsiveness of the stiff rear triangle.Also very stable downhills.PURE FUN!!!!!!! The lugs are made by Cinelli indluding the gorgeous Supercorsa Bottom Bracket shell lug . All tubing are unique and special.Not only the obvious Gilco front triangle.The seatstays are Biconical aero shaped and the chainstays have triangled shape like steel De Rosa. Toptube 56cm c-c Seattube 56cm c-c rear OLD 126mm(But have used it with modern 130mm wheels without problem) 27.2 seatpost Italian BB 38.8cm chainstay(even shorter than the Gios compact pro that has 39.5cm) Shimano 600 headset Stainless steel rear dropout adjustors The paint is not perfect and has some area rusted on surface espesially at the bottom bracket area,but it is only cosmetics and doesnt have any influence on frame integrity.
