Description: Fenton Ruby #1502 Diamond Optic Octagonal Crimped 8" Vase COMPANY / MAKER: The Fenton Art Glass Company PATTERN: #1502 Diamond Optic ITEM: Octagonal Crimped 8" Vase COLOR: Ruby CIRCA: 1927 to 1938 MEASUREMENT: 8 1/4" H. - 6 1/2" W. CONDITION: This lovely Ruby (red) octagonal crimped vase in the Diamond Optic pattern is stunning. This vase has amazing color. The octagonal crimp on the vase is unusual. Our beautiful vase is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. This vase is between 83 to 94 years old and was used. It is clear and beautiful on the inside without residue or build up for water deposits. The Diamond Optic pattern is well defined. It does need to be noted that there is common light scratching on the bottom. There are also a couple of small scratches on one side. They are not noticeable unless you are actually holding the vase up and looking for them but we want to disclose any and all flaws. If you are collecting ruby Diamond Optic this vase would be a great addition to your collection. Diamond Optic (1927-1938) (black, jade, green, rose, aqua, royal blue, ruby, orchid, tangerine, crystal, and moonstone) Fenton introduced Diamond Optic in 1927. Most pieces were discontinued by 1931. Ice buckets, bowls and vases are commonly found in this pattern. Many Diamond Optic pieces will also be found in the Dolphin pattern with Dolphin handles.
