Description: CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY Omaha Nebraska BEAL'S GRILL Memora-Beal-ia Postcard Beal’s Grill operated from 1940 to 1986. Located next to Creighton University at 24th California, Omaha Nebraska. Beal’s Grill was opened in a house on the southeast corner of North 24th and California Streets. In 1940, Beal opened the restaurant after he renovated the house with a u-shaped counter and booths by replacing the living and dining rooms and added a small dining room with tables and chairs. A mainstay of Creighton University students for those decades, Beal’s Grill was indelibly carved into the hearts and stomachs of thousands of Creighton students. Pictured are Father Neil Cahill SJ and Burnice Howard Fiedler, daughter and son-in-law of the late Walt and Hazel Beal, founders of Beal's Grill standing in front of the Memora-Beal-ia Wall Collage of Beal's Grill that is located in the student center of Creighton University. Please review the photos carefully for condition and detail. Normal wear associated with an old postcard have creases, corner bumps, scratches, ink on the front etc.
