Description: Up for auction is a used professional Conn LTD U.S.A. model 8DY "Connstellation" brass double french horn. All valves and slides move freely and the french horn would benefit from a professional cleaning. This model is similar in design to the 8D model, but the bell and slide crooks are made of brass(one crook is nickel silver). The french horn has a nickel silver(leadpipe and outer slide tubes), the rotors are not tapered and the bell was probably made in Abilene, TX. There are no loose solder joints, no major dents present and several minor dings don't affect performance. This lacquered brass french horn has scratches throughout from normal use and the lacquer has minor wear, with approximately 75% of lacquer intact. The serial number is in the 422,xxx range and there are visible blemishes throughout under the lacquer. Included is a somewhat used Conn french horn case(interior is intact with no strong odors, latches function as intended, exterior has minor wear with signs of spray paint and the handle is in good condition).
