Description: Here is an ORIGINAL CDV of GEORGE DAVIS (1839-1899) who was born in Franklin Falls, New Hampshire in 1839 and at the age of 17 he moved to Illinois, where he lived for 2 years. He, and 2 older brothers, were living in Sauk Centre, Minn. when the Civil War broke out. He enlisted on Feb. 2nd, 1862 with the 2nd Minnesota Light Artillery in Stearns Co., Minn. as a Private Union Soldier.
