Morrisonite is considered a world premium jasper, and is very popular for lapidary and collectors as it is long mined out. Carrisite variety is still being produced, but it is rumored to have slowed down and will soon be harder to find in good quality. Carrisite is a porcelain jasper that will make lovely finished cabs. Both Morrisonite and Carrisite are known to have a variety of colors, stringers and hectic patterns. This piece is best suited for lapidary to make cabochons, but can be polished and used as a display specimen. Dimensions are approximately 3.75"x 2.25" (see photos) and 5.83mm thick. Please note this is in an unpolished piece. Weighs 68.4 grams. Items will ship within 1-2 business days. Please ask if you have any questions or need better photos.
