Unfortunately the previous owner removed a jammed filter with force and it took off chunks of the rim along with the plastic piece that surrounds the front element. Filters will no longer mount unfortunately, but the lens works perfectly fine. The lens barrel is in good shape otherwise. Glass is excellent inside and out. If you don't mind not using filters, the lens will work very well for you. All functions work as they should. It's an amazing lens that is sharp and incredibly fast.
