Description: Size: Approximately 8 inches x 6 inches This original albumen photograph was in a small Victorian album with pictures of Australia taken circa 1883. The majority of the photographs were taken by CAPTAIN SAMUEL WHITE SWEET. Provenance: Most of the photographs in the small album have copies held in the collections at The State Library of South Australia etc. However, this particular image has yet to be identified or found in any collection. The style is the same as the other photographs in the album by CAPTAIN Sweet. I suspect the location should be easy to identify for anyone familiar with Sydney harbours. The building under construction may also provide easy location information. To the left hand side of the building under construction is a warehouse or similar that has Harrison, Jones & Devlin on the side. On the reverse of the photograph in pencil is A S H Co.
