Description: Good morning all. BLACK FRIDAY SALE. Here is a Buck Bros., Made in USA, C-4 9" smoothing plane with a 2" wide iron. The iron had a consistent bevel, so I honed it. The plane works fine, KEEPING IN MIND that this is a plane for occasional work, not for fine cabinet work (the mouth is too wide). The metal parts and the wooden parts are clean. No scratches or gouges on the sole, as is so often the case. Small brass adjusting wheel for the iron, which gives this plane some age, as Buck uses a different system on their planes now. Good mass at 3 pounds, 7 ounces.
