Description: Rare 1900’s Brunswick - Balke - Collender Co. Billiards, Champions of the World, original advertisement! This extremely rare find was recently discovered behind an antique canvas, protected for over 100 years. This particular version is EXTREMELY rare as it depicts a young Willie Hoppe dating it to 1910. The rest of the champions are, Jacob Schaefer, Thomas Hueston, Lloyd Jevne, Geo. F Slossen, Albert G. Cutler , Harry P. Cline, Maurice Vignaux, Albert Garnier, Gaston Gibelin, Al Taylor, Alfredo De Oro, Ora Morningstar, F. Maggioli, Maurice Daley, George Sutton, Emilio Marua, Louis Curé, Firmin Cassigneul, and Calvin Demarest. Colors are vibrant for being over 110 years old. ***There are some expected signs of age including touched up cut/scrapes to the outer edges, and across a couple of the players faces to the left. Some foxing and discoloration consistent with age. The wood frame is original, new plexiglass and acid free backing have been added for extra protection. Despite any aging/flaws, this rare advertisement displays very well - please look at all photos closely. Please ask any questions.
