Description: Argentina: Medal for Civilian Veterans of “Operation Malvinas” 1982. Very scarce silvered bronze medal (30 mm) issued by the Centro de Civiles Veteranos de Guerra “Operativo Malvinas” to Argentine civilians that served in the Falklands War against Britain. Of the 640 Argentines killed in the war, 18 were Argentine civilians in support roles for the military. The reverse side of the medal is un-named, and has the motto, “He did not give up, nor will he give up.” The medal is in better than very fine condition; on what appears to be the original ribbon.
