The "Apes of Japan" King Kong stands almost 9 inches tall and perfectly matches the Marmit Monster Heaven line of figures in size, sculpt and paint style. There are 2 mold variations of the figure. Both have the same body sculpt, but one has the head of the 1967 Kong (King Kong Escapes) while the other has that of the more well-known 1962 (vs. Godzilla) Kong. This is the 1962 King Kong is molded in black with brown highlights in the fur. The areas of exposed skin are highlighted in a warm grey. Additional Info: Because of licensing issues, these figures are officially labeled as "Gorilla 1 and Gorilla 2" by APES OF JAPAN. One represents King Kong from the 1967 film King Kong Escapes. The second one represents the King Kong from the 1962 film King Kong vs Godzilla.
