Description: Antique German Lithograph Print Angel Triumph over Death Skeleton Snake Framed This is an antique lithograph print in frame that measures 12.75" x 10.75". The window inside blue mat is 6" x 3 3/8" (what you can see of print). The scene is an angel in triumph over death and evil. The winged angel stands on a sphere with sword in one hand and holds an apple or heart struck by an arrow in the other hand with a large trumpet horn. Below is a two-headed serpent subjugated with a chain thru the nose. A human skeleton lays at the bottom. There is a text in old German which I am not able to translate in full. I can kind make out it has religious implications. There is a name of artist in left above text but I can not fully read it (Freder...Hamber...). It is a very interesting and detailed print. This is an old item from estate of art collector. I have not removed from her frame as there is sealed paper backing. Perhaps there is more information but I will leave that to the next owner.
