Mounted on skilfully crafted brass ormolu base with beautiful details like leaves, ropes and flowers, the box itself is egg-shaped and wear a flower finial. White opaline glass the egg-shaped box is made of belongs to so-called "pate de riz" (referring to matted rice) type of opaline glass. There is an internal crack in the glass at the back side of the box. Not visible from the front and only slightly visible from the back it allows to perfectly use the box both for the display and to store precious items. Dimensions: Overall box measures 16 cm (6.3") in heightThe egg itself is 6 cm (2.36") in diameter.Distance between the feet is 7 cm (2.75") The weight is 157 gr (5.57 oz) Condition: Glass has a crack inside at the back of the egg, not yet glued or repaired - up to the new owner - to se if it is needed.
