Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Mirror. This is a fine small Art Deco Wall Mirror with Original Rope and Wood Polychrome Hanger. Wood and gesso. Original dark antique gold color with wood hanger also having polychrome blue with the gold. No makers label. Maker unknown to me. Nice Rectangular Octagonal Art Deco shape. This mirror dates to the 1920s. Antique. About 100 years old. Frame in good condition for age. Some small minor dings and scratches typical for age. Original brown paper backing is ripped and almost off. The original mirror plate with some fogging on the silvering from age. Gold finish is original with some minor gold paint losses. Beautiful example with the hard to find original wood polychrome hanger. Measures about 20 1/4" tall and about 8 3/8" wide at extremes ( not including rope hanger). Ready to hang.
