We located a nice photo of Maurice Herzog's grave in the Chamonix cemetery. His grave is adjacent to Edward Whymper. Whymper of course is famous for making the first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865,and 15 years later doing first ascents of Chimborazo and other high peaks in the Andes.
