Description: Penn Antique Restoration 30"x80" Antique Solid Wood Interior Door w/5 Panels Attractive, antique interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and has 5 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. The door is stained on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store). * If you would like the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: Considering the door is well over 100 years old, it is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, warp or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from the room towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
