Description: A pair of 2 beautiful vintage Italian mounted ceramic vase lamps. These are hand painted and feature a landscape on one side and a romantic scene on the other. The artwork bears an artist signature, though we cannot identify the artist. (see photo) The surface of the lamp is covered in sculpted raised floral designs with handpainted details in gold, white and green. They are each approximately 24" tall and stand mounted on an ornate molded brass 9" x 9" base with a felt pad on the bottom. The brass bases have a layer of tarnish requiring proper cleaning, which we leave up to you. Date of manufacture is uncertain but we approximate they are from the late 1950s-1960s, but may be earlier. The sockets and electronic components, though still functional, are loose and show signs of age and most likely would need replacement. Please examine the photos carefully before buying. The vases have a slight layer of dust which we will leave as is as not to risk damaging them. These items are large and delicate and shipping will require elaborate packing.
