Description: Fantastic pair of Roman bronze tripod stands, with three removable hanging oil lamps, each of those a different type, with a lid in the form of an animal, a rat, a hawk and a swan. The detail on these is incredible, one decorated with stags heads, the other with rams heads. One one a figure of Mercury, the second of the young Dionysus in center. Topped by three cranes holding snakes in their beaks from which the three oil lamps hang. On tripod bases with paw feet on one level, hoofed feet above, acanthus leaves, masks and garlands. Mounted on a black slate and griotte marble plinth. After the Roman originals. I noticed a single one of these is on Cersei Lannister's desk in "Game of Thrones"! 29.5 in.H x 10 in.W x 10 in.
