"Going Out" is one of the *four dolls in the Saturday Evening Post Cover Girls Collection inspired by Norman Rockwell and the art he created for the magazine covers. This artwork, depicting the young woman in the midst of preparations for a night out on the town, was the cover for October 21, 1933. The original doll that wore this ensemble was 14 inches sitting down. This green chiffon dress features a double scalloped collar and puffed sleeves, both adorned with beautifully embroidered flowers. It has elastic puff sleeves and 2 front snap set closures and a separate sash/tie belt. The green chiffon dress fits Madame Alexander Cissy and Deluxe Reading Candy. It is modeled on a 1963 Deluxe Reading Candy doll mannequin for size reference. For the entire measurement of the garment around the waist, around the bodice, etc, double the measurement listed. Measure around your doll with a flexible tape measure for the best results. For example, a 4 inch flat measured waist is approximately 8 inches around the entire garment, so a doll of no bigger than an 8 inch waist could wear that item. SHIPPING Q & A We ship calculated USPS shipping. USPS rules state if the mailer is over 1/4 of an inch thick it is considered a package.
